HARTING has introduced an innovative connector solution for Motor Control Centers (MCCs) based on the Han-Modular sliding frame. This new design enables a drawer system to achieve a test position through a simple mechanical process, while power connections can be made in a separate location. As a result, customers gain a more streamlined system architecture and access to a wide range of modular components from the Han-Modular product line. Previously, docking connectors only had two states: "plugged" or "unplugged." The Han-Modular sliding frame now offers three distinct plug-in positions, providing a completely new and more versatile approach for drawer systems. **"Not docked position":** In this state, both the signal and power connectors are fully disconnected. The drawer is not inserted into the switch cabinet at all, ensuring complete isolation. **"Test position":** The drawer is pushed into the switch cabinet, and the signal connectors are engaged within the sliding frame. The power connector remains slightly separated—about 35 mm away—from the signal connectors, preventing any power transfer. This creates a safe environment for testing, with the signal connection still active for diagnostics. **"Working position":** After testing, the drawer, including the power connector, is fully inserted into the switch cabinet. The signal connector on the Han-Modular sliding frame moves along with the drawer to the rear panel of the switchgear, aligning the power connector with its working position.
