In addition to the iPhone 8, the iPhone X was also one of the major highlights at this year’s Apple event. Although the official conference is set to start at 1 a.m. Beijing time on the 13th, some third-party manufacturers have already started offering gold-plated custom versions of the iPhone X ahead of the release.
A few days ago, Brikk, an accessories company based in Los Angeles, announced that it's taking pre-orders for customized iPhone X models. These include options in gold, rose gold, and platinum, with prices ranging from $7,495 (approximately 49,000 yuan) to $69,995 (around 457,000 yuan), depending on the design. The luxury version is aimed at high-profile clients who are willing to pay a premium for exclusivity.
The custom iPhone X is called the "Lux iPhone X" and comes with a 512GB storage capacity, which will be confirmed after the official launch. The entire body of the device is fully covered in 24K gold, and each unit is handcrafted, ensuring a unique and luxurious feel.
Production of the Lux iPhone X will begin in November and continue through January next year. It will be available for purchase in the U.S., the U.K., mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau, and Singapore.
This isn’t the first time Brikk has ventured into high-end customization. Previously, they released diamond-encrusted iPhone 7s, gold-plated Apple Watches, and even gold-coated AirPods. Their latest offering continues this trend of blending technology with opulence, appealing to those who want more than just a smartphone — they want a statement piece.
With its eye-catching design and hefty price tag, the Lux iPhone X is clearly not for the average consumer. Instead, it's tailored for those who seek exclusivity, status, and a touch of extravagance in their daily tech. Whether it's worth the cost is another question, but one thing is certain — it's making waves in the world of luxury gadgets.
