Beijing stopped selling more than 100 watts of incandescent lamps in June, the government department completely stopped before the end of the year

It is reported that Beijing has issued an action plan to eliminate ordinary lighting incandescent lamps. According to the plan, the government agencies will take the lead in setting aside the deadline and complete the phase-out work within a time limit. Since June this year, the first 100 watts of incandescent lamps have been discontinued.

According to the plan, starting from June 1 this year, we will first stop importing and selling incandescent lamps with a power of 100 watts or more. We will stop selling incandescent lamps of 60 watts or more from June 1 next year, and stop it on January 1, 2015. The range of imported and sold incandescent lamps with a power of more than 15 watts has gradually expanded. At the same time, government departments stopped using incandescent lamps at the end of 2013, and other public institutions stopped using incandescent lamps at the end of 2014.

The core idea of stopping the use of incandescent lamps is to save energy and reduce emissions. The phasing out of incandescent lamps will promote the structural optimization and upgrading of China's lighting industry, and it will be very beneficial to promote the goal of energy saving and emission reduction in the 12th Five-Year Plan.

In 2010, the output of incandescent lamps and domestic sales were 3.85 billion and 1.07 billion respectively. According to this figure, China's lighting electricity accounts for about 12% of the total electricity consumption of the whole society. Therefore, if more energy-efficient products are adopted, It is very beneficial to save electricity.
