Installation and Structural Diagram of Geomembrane Bursting Strength Tester
How to Install and Use the Geomembrane Bursting Strength Tester:
- Pressure Setting: After turning on the device, press the "Set" button. Then use the "Back" key to navigate. Press the "Shift" key to move the cursor. Adjust the value using the "+" and "-" buttons. Once the desired value is set, press "Set" again to save it. After setting the lower limit, press "Set" to exit the mode.
- Peak Pressure Setting: Long press the "Set" button to store the peak pressure value, which represents the maximum pressure at the moment the specimen breaks.
- Time Window Settings: Enter the settings by pressing the key. When the display shows "B", you can set the time for pressure retention. You can adjust the time in minutes or seconds. The lower limit can be set to 0.1MPa.
- Time Reset: To restart the test, hold down the "-" key. The time value will reset to 0. Make sure not to accidentally press "!" during operation.
- Time Review: Press the "-" key to view the time in hours, minutes, and seconds. After 30 seconds, the system will return to the pressure display.
- Time Setting: Long press the "Set" key to enter the time adjustment mode. The display will show "T," allowing you to set the pressure increase time in minutes.
- Zero Adjustment: If the pressure gauge does not return to zero after starting, press the "Set" key once to recalibrate. Avoid pressing the "Clear" button while there is pressure; wait until the pressure is released before resetting.
- Water Filling: Open the water injection cover and fill the tank with distilled water until it is full. Start the pressurization process and open the pressure valve to allow water to flow into the high-pressure chamber until it overflows.
- Sample Placement: Place the geomembrane sample on the rubber ring without wrinkles. Remove excess water to ensure no air bubbles are trapped in the clamping area. Cover the upper platen and clamp the sample evenly.
- Burst Pressure Measurement: Record the highest pressure value reached before the sample ruptures. This value is considered the hydrostatic pressure resistance of the sample.
- Result Calculation: Follow relevant standards to calculate and interpret the test results.
