The "Twelfth Five-Year Development Plan of the Internet of Things" has been formally issued recently. The "Plan" makes it clear that it will increase financial and tax support, increase the scale of special funds for the development of the Internet of Things, increase the proportion of special industrialization and other investments in the Internet of Things, and encourage private capital and foreign investment in the field of Internet of Things.
According to the "Planning", by 2015, China will achieve significant results in core technology research and development and industrialization, key standards research and formulation, establishment and improvement of industrial chains, major application demonstration and promotion, etc., and initially form an innovation drive, application traction, Coordinated development, safe and controllable Internet of Things development pattern.
"Planning" puts forward the main tasks for the development of China's Internet of Things during the "Twelfth Five-Year Plan" period. It mainly includes: vigorously conquering core technologies, accelerating the construction of standard systems, coordinating and promoting industrial development, focusing on cultivating key enterprises, actively carrying out application demonstrations, rationally planning regional layout, strengthening information security and improving public service capabilities.
In addition, the "Plan" also clarified that the Internet of Things will implement five key projects during the "Twelfth Five-Year Plan" period: key technology innovation projects, standardization promotion projects, "ten districts and 100 enterprises" industrial development projects, application demonstration projects in key areas, and public service platforms construction project. Among them, the key areas mainly involve smart industry, smart agriculture, smart logistics, smart transportation, smart grid, smart environmental protection, smart security, smart medical and smart home, etc.
