Next generation iphone screen: OLED PK low temperature polysilicon

Apple’s every move has led to the nerves of countless “fruit powders” and has also stirred up waves in the capital market. Before the "May 1st" festival, the white iPhone4 was simultaneously listed in 28 countries and regions including China, and was enthusiastically sought after. The replacement of Apple's screen is more important to the industry, and its path selection will directly affect the development prospects of related fields.
On the first day of listing on April 28th, Apple's flagship store in Shanghai had to purchase two ways to guarantee supply. The first batch of Shanghai Suning's white iPhone4 had 1,000 units. Once it was listed, it was sold out. A spot.
It is understood that the white iPhone4 and the original black version are only the difference in appearance, the function is exactly the same. It is no wonder that industry insiders doubt that such sales can continue? This is also the problem Apple must face directly: the product sales can not rely solely on the replacement of the appearance color. “Fruit Powder” is eagerly awaiting the qualitative change of the next generation iPhone, especially in the selection of screen products.
Although the iPhone 5 has not yet been launched, the media has taken the lead in disclosing the news about the iPhone 6, which has caused great concern in the industry. The report claims that Apple has signed an agreement with Sharp to produce a low-temperature polysilicon (LTPS) LCD screen, which is expected to be used in Apple's next-generation iPhone product launched in 2012.
From the 2011 China Future Display Technology Development Summit held recently, it was learned that before the launch of the iPhone4, Apple personally inspected the Samsung SMD OLED production line and wanted to use OLED as the display screen. However, given the lack of capacity supply, this option was abandoned. . The industry expects that if Apple's new iPhone 5 is to bring enough new ideas to the market, it will definitely break through the display. At this time, SMD came out to invest in the expansion of OLED news. Industry insiders can't help guessing whether Apple has put OLED into the screen procurement plan has it been put on the agenda? Will the next generation of Apple screen be OLED or low temperature polysilicon?
Low-temperature polysilicon is still based on traditional liquid crystal display technology, and OLED is almost universally recognized as the next-generation mainstream display after liquid crystal. OLED is an organic light-emitting diode (Organic Light-Emitting Diode), which is a self-luminous material and does not require a backlight. It has a wide viewing angle, uniform image quality, fast response speed, vivid color and low energy consumption. Fantastic display." The data released by DisplaySearch shows that the main application areas of OLED in the next 5 to 10 years are electronic consumer products such as mobile phones, TVs, notebooks, and car displays.
OLEDs are further classified into active AMOLEDs and passive PMOLEDs depending on the driving method. Among them, the small-size PMOLED display technology is mature, and the products below 3 inches have entered the market; the small and medium-sized AMOLED technology is maturing, and the products are ready for mass market.
At present, the global energy production AMOLED mobile phone panel, only Samsung SMD one, basically occupy more than 80% of the global production capacity, but the market demand is very large, out of stock serious, and even the phenomenon of mobile phone manufacturers "discontinued to be screened." In addition to Apple, Lenovo CEO Yang Yuanqing also went to OLED manufacturers to inquire about the production situation, in preparation for the War Music Phone.
According to people close to Samsung SMD, SMD executives made a special trip to China for research, revealing the idea of expanding OLED production capacity by 10 times in the next three years, and will build a new 5.5 generation line. So, does this mean that the next generation of iPhone products is expected to be replaced with OLED screens?
In this regard, DisplaySearch China market marketing director Zhang Bing believes that from the technology trend, OLED can not meet Apple's requirements for high resolution, and its exclusive supplier's yield rate does not exceed 70%, both in terms of capacity and cost. It is unlikely that Apple's mass production needs will be met, and it is unlikely that LCDs will become Apple's next-generation display screens in a short period of time.
But low temperature polysilicon is easier to implement. The biggest difference from the traditional amorphous silicon display is that the low-temperature polysilicon has a faster reaction speed, high brightness and high definition, and the production capacity is gradually expanding. At present, Toshiba Action Display (TMDisplay), Sharp, etc. are gradually converting the production capacity of 4th generation line and below from non-polysilicon to LTPS, while South Korea's Samsung and LG Display are producing LTPS with 4.5 generation line.
In China, Shentianma's controlling shareholder also said at the end of last year that it plans to jointly invest 7 billion yuan with other companies to set up a project company in Xiamen to build a 5,000-generation low-temperature polysilicon (LTPS) TFT-LCD with a monthly processing of 30,000 glass substrates. It produces a CF production line with 60,000 color filters; and promises to hand over the production line to the listed company for custody in the future, and sell the equity to the listed company in due course.
Li Tianxin, chief engineer of Shentianma, said recently that low-temperature polysilicon has lower cost and more mature technology advantages than OLED. In addition, in terms of building low-temperature polysilicon liquid crystal screen production lines and traditional LCD screen production lines, some devices can be shared, which means that traditional liquid crystal manufacturers have certain advantages in production line conversion. But the core technology and equipment still need to be imported from Japan.
Li Xinxin believes that as a smart terminal display, low-temperature polysilicon and OLED should coexist for a long time. The former is mature in technology, lower in cost, and the supply is guaranteed, which should occupy the mainstream market. OLED has advantages in display effect, but the cost Higher, may meet some high-end needs.

The connection of the parallel  groove clamp for the medium and small section of the aluminum stranded wire or the overhead stranded wire and the steel core aluminum stranded wire strand in the position where the tension is not applied is also used for the jumper connection of the non-linear tower. Parallel Clamp is a parallel connection wire to transmit the electrical load of the contact fittings. Parallel Jaw Clamps are widely used.
