In January, prices fell by 13.4% to 28.4 US dollars. The changes in the prices of the original commodities in the region were relatively small, mainly due to the lower average prices of newly added low-priced items, and the rising exchange rate also led to the price drop. Prices in South Korea showed a slight increase of 0.9%. There is no change in the price of the original product. Mainly due to the decline in the exchange rate leading to price increases, no new items appear this month. Price trends in different regions of the New Year, market trend after the adjustment period worth the wait

LEDinside observed that the average price of LED bulbs that replaced 40W and replaced 60W in January was different in different regions of the world, while the price in Japan decreased more significantly. Some of the original branded goods such as IRIS OHYAMA began to significantly reduce the promotional price, and the new items were sold at lower prices. In the global market, due to the New Year holiday in January, most of the commodity prices in various places have floated. For different commodities, businesses started to clean up inventory at low prices or ended the promotion period to increase prices, resulting in less uniform overall price trends.

In addition, continuing the trend of Q4 in 2012, Korean manufacturers continue to adopt parity strategies in European and American markets. Such as LG's new products introduced in Europe in January, to replace the traditional 60W incandescent 14-watt LED light bulbs, luminous flux of 850 lumens, the European market price of about 28-30 US dollars, slightly lower than the average price. LEDinside believes that after the New Year's adjustment and transition period, various brand manufacturers will launch new strategies or actions, and the development direction of the LED bulb market in the new year is worth looking forward to.
