Jinan West Railway Station is one of the five starting and ending stations of the Beijing-Shanghai high-speed railway. It is a large-scale comprehensive transportation hub project with a steel capacity of 21,000 tons. The construction of the track layer is 202 m long and 107 m wide. The steel structure has a capacity of 13,000 tons and the steel consumption per square meter is 600 kg. The design has 128 steel columns and 326 steel beams, which are connected by full penetration welding. A total of 652 welds, the total length of the weld on site is 2 000 m, and the thickness of the welded steel plate is 35 to 70 mm. The planned welding duration is 40 days.
