PHY1066 is a proactive equalizer and programmable pre-emphasis driver designed for active timing and 10Gbps copper cables and backplane applications. Low-latency chips are also ideal for delay-critical applications, and small BGAs are packaged in an XFP MSA connector.
The device will automatically equalize and optimize its surrounding environment, whether it is in temperature changes or if the cable is moved. After testing up to 20 24AWG double-axe copper meter cables, the device can also be used for 30AWG up to 10 meters.
Loss of signal (LOS) and loss of locks provide additional monitoring and alarm host controllers. Access to PHY1066 is via an optional 2-wire or SPI â„¢ microcontroller interface. The integrated PRBS and BERT can be integrated into part of the setup and test procedures, and can also be used in the laboratory.
