Jiangsu Trifortune orders AIXTRON system to develop GaN substrate LED

AIXTRON announced that China's Jiangsu Trifortune Electronic Technology Co., Ltd. has ordered its AIXG5HT system to develop high-brightness LEDs based on GaN.

The AIXTRON system handles 56x2 inch wafers per run and will be installed in Trifortune's R&D center. Once the research is successfully completed, the developed process will be converted to mass production in Jiangsu.


Dr. Hu, technical director of Trifortune, said: "We plan to develop a GaN substrate LED process. Compared to the recognized sapphire substrate, GaN substrate has many advantages. I want to market in the high brightness LED market. Competition, our manufacturing process must maximize production to produce higher lumens per dollar. The AIXG5HT system is widely recognized for its excellent mass production in LED production, and its high growth rate is excellent and repeatable. Performance is also well received by the industry."

Jiangsu Trifortune Electronic Technology Co., Ltd. is headquartered in Jintan, China, and the company was established in May 2013. In the company's first phase of strategic business planning, the initial investment in the Beijing Shahe demonstration prefabrication production line.
