21ic Analog Devices, Inc. (ADI) recently introduced the ADMP504, the industry's lowest noise MEMS microphone. With 65 dBA SNR (signal-to-noise ratio) or 29 dBA EIN (equivalent input noise), the ADMP504 provides the same SNR performance as an array of two independent 62 dB SNR microphones. In addition, the ADMP504 offers an extended frequency response of up to 20 kHz and a high PSR (power supply rejection) of 70 dBV. With this capability, the ADMP504 meets the demanding requirements of many industrial-grade professional audio and video conferencing applications. The new microphones feature ADI's patented MEMS technology and audio signal processing technology and are available in a low profile 3.35 mm X 2.50 mm X 0.88 mm surface mount package.
