In terms of technical development, the industry is moving toward higher precision and integration. The transition from 24 GHz to 77 GHz radar systems is becoming more common, especially in high-end models. This shift allows for better accuracy, faster response times, and improved performance in complex driving scenarios. For example, upgrading to 77 GHz radar enhances the performance of adaptive cruise control, allowing for more precise monitoring of surrounding vehicles and smoother adjustments in speed and braking. The structure of a millimeter-wave radar system typically includes an antenna, transceiver module, signal processing unit, and other key components. Traditional systems often use SiGe (silicon-germanium) chips, which, while effective, are bulky and costly. However, advances in CMOS (complementary metal-oxide-semiconductor) technology have enabled the development of more compact, efficient, and affordable radar systems. CMOS-based solutions offer lower power consumption and greater scalability, making them a promising alternative for future automotive radar applications.
