The market has dimming demand. During this period, the segmented dimming solution realized by the wall switch quickly seized the market share with his cost-effectiveness. For consumers, such programs have two tempting advantages: First, there is no need to change the original lighting lines; Second, easy to operate, nursery rhymes will be; for businesses, such programs have an advantage: rarely increased costs And the price can be increased a lot and the profit is increased.

At present, the segmentation dimming scheme is divided into two categories: switching power supplies (also divided into isolation and non-isolation schemes) and linear constant current classes. Ming Microelectronics offers segmented dimming solutions for all of the above categories. This article shares with you the implementation of the segmentation dimming scheme.

First, linear constant current class segmentation dimming scheme SM2212/13E series SM2212/3E is a series of segmentable adjustable brightness LED constant current driver chip. Applicable to 200Vac~240Vac or 90Vac~130Vac input voltage, constant current accuracy up to ±3%. According to the opening/closing wall (power) switch, the switch switching time is less than 0.5 seconds, and the output current is sequentially changed to change the brightness of the LED lamp. The adjustment ratio can be adjusted by an external REXT resistor. A typical circuit diagram is as follows:

This scheme is simple in circuit, cost-effective, and easy to produce. It can realize the "light engine" scheme of photoelectric integration, and realize the light engine, also called photoelectric module, as shown below:

This series includes SM2212EA (2-stage dimming), SM2213EA (3-stage dimming) without input electrolysis, high power factor output, SM2212EB (2-stage dimming) with input electrolysis and low power factor without stroboscopic. , SM2213EB (3-stage dimming), can use different products for different customers. At the same time, the power can be increased by parallel application, and the synchronization consistency of multiple lamps is good.

Take the SM2213EB's 3-band adjustment brightness application as an example. When turning on the wall power switch, change the output current in turn to change the brightness of the LED lamp. The adjustment ratio can be adjusted by an external REXT resistor.

2.2 Isolated Segmented Dimming Solution The SM7590 series SM7590 is a single-stage, high-precision, high-efficiency primary-side feedback LED constant current drive control chip with source high power factor correction and three-stage dimming. There are fewer peripheral devices and the solution cost is low. Applicable to the full range of input voltage from 85Vac to 265Vac, the constant current accuracy is within ±5%, and the PF value is greater than 0.9.

The SM7590 has the same function as the SM7390. The main difference is that the SM7590 is isolated and used in isolated panel lights and downlights. The typical circuit diagram is as follows:
