Introduction: This chapter provides an overview of the hardware connections for several basic modules on a versatile 51 experiment box. The procedure includes reviewing the hardware test instructions, preparing necessary accessories, connecting the hardware according to the guidelines, downloading the test program, observing the experimental results, and verifying whether each function module is working properly. Unless otherwise specified, the standard hardware environment used for testing is the Chang Xue series multi-function development learning board or experiment box (2017 version), which features an STC12C5A60S2 51-series microcontroller and an 11.0592 MHz crystal oscillator.
PCF8591 AD/DA Module Test
Hardware Preparation: Two 2P DuPont cables, three jumper caps, and an 11.0592 MHz crystal oscillator are required for this test.
Software Preparation: Install and use the CEPARK PCF8591 host computer program named 8.exe. Make sure to close any running serial port programs before starting the test.
Wiring Instructions: Connect the P3 port of the microcontroller to the bottom board's JP68 using a 2P DuPont cable. Specifically, connect P37 to SCL and P36 to SDA.
Jumper Description: Short-circuit the J3, J66, and J63 jumpers on the bottom board.
Detailed Connection: Connect P37 to SCL and P36 to SDA. Ensure that the J3, J66, and J63 jumpers are shorted.
Experimental Phenomenon: Launch the PC software, open the serial port, and check the port number in the Device Manager. Set the baud rate to 115200.
When performing AD conversion, select the desired channel on the host computer, then place a jumper on the corresponding J63. Adjust the variable resistor, and the converted value will be displayed on the screen.
For DA conversion, adjust the slider during the test, which changes the input digital value. The brightness of the LEDs on the module will vary accordingly.
