US All Star Lighting Supplies sells infringing LED filament lamps, and crystal power filed a patent lawsuit

Jingdian recently filed a patent infringement lawsuit in the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey, accusing All Star Lighting Supplies—operating under the Luxrite brand—of selling LED filament light bulbs that allegedly violate several U.S. patents related to crystal power technology. The company has requested an injunction to prevent the continued sale of these infringing products. In its legal complaint, Jingdian specifically cited eight U.S. invention patents that it claims are being violated by Luxrite’s LED filament bulbs. These include Patent No. 7,355,208 titled "Nitride Semiconductor Components and Their Manufacturing Methods," Patent No. 7,489,068 titled "Light-Emitting Device," Patent No. 7,560,738 titled "Light-Emitting Diode Array with Bonding Layer," Patent No. 8,791,467 titled "Light-Emitting Diode and Its Manufacturing Method," Patent No. 9,065,022 titled "Light-Emitting Device," Patent No. 9,257,604 titled "Light-Emitting Device with a Patterned Surface," Patent No. 9,488,321 titled "Illumination Device Having an Oblique-Type Light-Emitting Element on a Transparent Substrate," and Patent No. 9,664,340 titled "Light-Emitting Device." Jingdian has consistently invested heavily in R&D for LED technology over the years, accumulating more than 4,000 patents and applications globally. These intellectual properties span mainland China, Taiwan, Europe, and the United States, forming a strong technical foundation for LED filaments and LED lighting solutions. To protect its extensive R&D investments, Jingdian took legal action in October 2017, filing a lawsuit against All Star Lighting Supplies in the U.S. District Court and seeking an injunction to stop the sale of infringing products. This move underscores Jingdian’s commitment to safeguarding its innovations and maintaining a competitive edge in the global LED market. As the industry continues to evolve, such legal actions are becoming increasingly common as companies strive to protect their intellectual property from unauthorized use.
